A bit about me

After a life-changing kidney transplant, I am living life to the fullest! Retiring from my beloved job as a children’s librarian has given me the opportunity to immerse myself in crafts, music, and travel. This blog will document my newest adventure, driving throughout the United States and parts of Canada, in pursuit of new vistas, new knowledge, new skills, and, most importantly, new friends.  I so enjoy meeting people!

I am very fortunate to have friends in many states who have invited me to visit.  Many are high school classmates from the Girls Latin School class of 1976. Some are friends from Lake Forest Resort, a summer campground in New Hampshire.  Still others are people I have met along the way, in previous camping trips and through other friends, who have then become friends of mine. My life is filled with amazing people.

On this trip, I also hope to meet some of my favorites authors and illustrators, whom I have met on Facebook and whose work I frequently purchased for the Children’s Room at the Woburn Public Library. I am delighted that several have taken my up on my offer of lunch!

I am ready to tackle this trip of a lifetime!
